S. Sheree King, PT, CLT-LANA is a Johnson City native. She developed a passion for physical therapy in her middle school years when she observed the benefits of PT her father received after he suffered a stroke. Sheree graduated from UT-Memphis in 1988, married her husband John and resided in the Memphis area until 2006 when they relocated to the Tri-Cities area with their 2 internationally adopted daughters.

Sheree has worked for Ballad Health since relocating to the area – initially at Holston Valley’s Sullivan Center and since 2016, in the Bristol and Kingsport Cancer Centers.

Sheree obtained her Certified Lymphedema Therapist credentials in 2007 from the Academy of Lymphatic Studies and received her Lymphology Association of North America (LANA) certification in 2009. She is the only LANA certified therapist in the Appalachian-Highlands region.

While treating the cancer and lymphedema population since 2007, Sheree has fulfilled a passion for helping cancer and lymphedema patients improve their quality of life and has developed a strong desire to meet these patients’ rehabilitation needs in an environment where everyone feels the same. To fill this void in the community, Sheree created Ribbons Physical Therapy, LLC in 2020 where cancer and lymphedema patients can obtain physical therapy in a comfortable environment.

Sheree and her husband currently reside in Johnson City. She enjoys reading, hiking, and visiting with her grand dogs. John and Sheree are active in Grandview Christian Church. Her oldest daughter is a middle school teacher and she and her husband also reside in Johnson City. Her youngest daughter is currently living in West Lafayette, IN where she attends Purdue’s graduate school.
